Discipleship
Developing Wholehearted Lovers of God
“19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”
Matthew 28:19
For many years, Pastor Rick Ogles has promoted the connection between mentors and disciples who work together to train, equip, commission, and launch believers into their calling and ministry. In 2018, we began to receive prophetic words about developing a discipleship community. We already had our first “in-house” discipleship book written, and the Lord began giving us the structure for this book as a level 2. We believe discipleship should include monthly meetings, consistent accountability within the groups, monthly reading assignments, monthly relationship building activities, and the duplication of mature believers. Our desire is not merely for people to understand discipleship, but to do the work of discipleship.
“8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love…”
1 John 4:8
Our sole purpose here at TOBCF is to develop a community of wholehearted lovers of Jesus Christ, our Bridegroom God. This is our mission before all other assignments that have been given to us. Without love there is no passion to serve, pray, study or minster. Once love is established, all of these other things will begin to flow. God uses relationships to mold and shape us. Jesus taught the disciples how to love by living life together; talking, eating, working, traveling and ministering together. We seek to establish a community of discipleship, where relationships are built upon love, and we are trained to work together as one body to advance the Kingdom of Christ.

Healing and Deliverance Ministry:
Releasing Signs and Wonders
"And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them;
they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:15-18
Our assignment from God is to do the Great Commission. Jesus gave the command to heal and deliver all those who are sick and oppressed of the devil. The Lord desires for people to be healed and delivered for the sole purpose of connecting to His Love without distraction. Once healed and delivered, they will be able to fully walk in the ministry God called them to.
On February 14th, 1987, it was prophesied by Charles Slagle, that Pastor Rick Ogles would receive and operate in a mighty Healing and Deliverance Ministry. Over the years he has seen cancer and AIDS be healed, and demons flee at the name of Jesus. Healing and Deliverance still flows very strongly in this ministry, and we are training others to do the same. We have a Healing and Deliverance Team that works together in scheduled Deliverances, commanding demons to come out of people in Jesus name, and releasing healing to the inner most places of the Soul and Spirit. Pastors in our region send people to us who are oppressed and possessed to be ministered to by this team.
It is a part of the vision for TOBCF to train and form several deliverance teams; some will be “in-house,” some will go out, and some will do both. As of right now, we schedule most of the deliverances before or after our prayer meetings. Sometimes demons begin to manifest in a worship service, in which case, the deliverance team is deployed. If you would like to learn more about the deliverance ministry at TOBCF, please contact Pastor Rick.
We are living in an hour where sickness, disease, and pestilence are all around us. It is so important that we know how to live and walk in the victory that Jesus paid for at Calvary. As the world grows darker and darker, we will see more signs and wonders released on the earth to draw men back to God. God is still in the miracle working business, and He wants to use His people to release those miracles in a mighty way.

Building a Corporate House of Prayer
“My house shall be called a House of Prayer…”
Matthew 21:13
In 2009, the Lord lead Pastor Rick Ogles to hold prayer meetings every morning at 6am when the church was located in Whitney, Tx. Only a few people came every morning to pray, but the Lord began to pour out His Spirit in a mighty way, both personally and corporately. It was through this sacrifice in prayer, that God taught Ogles how to quiet himself in a deeper form of prayer called Contemplative Prayer. Instead of always talking to God, we discipline ourselves to be quiet, and wait on the Lord for Him to speak. The Lord takes delight in us when we wait on Him, and he rewards us with His manifest presence.
When TOBCF moved to Waco, TX, Pastor Rick began to hold weekly prayer meetings. After visiting and learning from other Houses of Prayer, they began to hold weekly House of Prayer meetings in 2015, that would combine worship and intercession. Each meeting had a prayer focus, and musicians and intercessors partnered together to shift the atmosphere and see change in the region and even in the nations.
After many faithful years of these weekly meetings, the Lord began to breath a fresh breath of direction for these powerful meetings. The direction was to begin speaking in tongues, hear the Father’s heart, and then pray and sing what was received from God. This new direction helped to put more of a focus on the prophetic, partnering with the prayer focus that is on the Lord’s heart.
It is our desire that every member at TOBCF find a time in their schedule to participate at least monthly in one of the House of Prayer meetings. TOBCF leaders and anyone who serve in any position in the church are required to attend at least one House of Prayer meeting every month. Although we realize that our personal time with God is most important, it is also detrimental to come together on a regular basis to pray corporately. Jesus expected His disciples to pray together, especially in troubling times. The Word also says that where 2 or more are gathered, that God is in our midst.
We do not wish to put any extra burden on those who work full time jobs, but the House of Prayer sessions are at the very heart of our ministry. House of Prayer fuels every other part of the vision. There was a time that we stopped our HOP meetings for a few weeks and it felt as if the spiritual atmosphere was drying up. We restarted the meetings and the Lord poured out His Spirit in a greater measure. Many of us at TOBCF have made a vow to the Lord to do the House of Prayer until He returns, Lord willing.
Before Jesus Returns there will be thousands if not millions of Houses of Prayer established throughout the nations. In the last 20 years the Holy Spirit has been emphasizing the importance of building Houses of Prayer. Each House of Prayer established will have its own expression or identity, given personally by the Holy Spirit. We can learn from each HOP since there may be some similarities, but our HOP identity will be unique from all the others. It’s up to us to fast and pray to catch the vision for the House of Prayer.
We all know that prayer changes everything: sets us on fire for Jesus Christ, gives us boldness to share the Gospel, anoints us to serve and set the captives free, changes the atmosphere in communities and cities, and ultimately releases knowledge, understanding, wisdom and might. If we don’t pray, things will remain the same UNTIL we do. Without prayer individually and corporately, none of us are truly effective to fulfill the mandate that has been given.
If you have never experienced this, you are missing out on a deeper connection to the body you have been called to. If you are a new member and are seeking to be considered for a position of any kind, the first place to start is by consistently partnering with us in the House of Prayer.

Worship Ministry
“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.”
Psalm 27:4
“15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”
Hebrews 13:15
“23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”
John 4:23
Many beautiful things have been prophesied over the TOBCF music department. In 2012, Angela Gassaway became the full-time worship leader at the Olive Branch. Many prophets that speak into her life speak of a training center for worship leaders. They also prophesy that there will be multiple worship teams springing forth out of TOBCF; some will be “in-house,” some will go out, and some will do both. For many years, we have petitioned the Lord for singers and musicians to come into our body and partner with us in music ministry and the House of Prayer.
Our main goal in worship is to be lovers and seekers of His presence. Another goal is to lead the congregation in prophetic worship, hearing what is on the Lord’s heart during that service, and releasing it in song.
There is also a calling for prophetic dance ministry. We believe that anyone who minsters in music or dance should be trained spiritually and musically so that we can skillfully express the heart of God. In the Old Testament Holy Temple, thousands of musicians and servants were trained to minster to the Lord and to the people with excellence. Worship continued in the temple day and night, night and day, 365 days a year. It never stopped. This is the concept behind a House of Prayer; to build a tabernacle of David (2 Chronicles 13). Our goal is to lift up worship and prayer to our God, 24 hours a day.
If you are new to our fellowship and seek to partner in Music or Dance Ministry, your first place to start is to become faithful in House of Prayer attendance.

Intercession Ministry
“30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”
Ezekiel 22:30
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2
“14 …If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.”
2 Chronicles 7:14-16
Our pastor is truly an intercessor at heart. One of his biggest passions is prayer. We meet regularly as a group to cry out to the Lord, for our congregational needs, local needs, regional and worldwide needs. In 2017, Pastor Rick had a vision of revival teams traveling to different cities and regions to release Healing and Deliverance. He saw teams of intercessors going out before us - days or weeks before the engagement - to “plow the ground” before the worship and ministry teams go. We seek to develop intercessory teams that would partner in this vision. Some will be “in-house,” some will go out, and some will do both. If you are new to our fellowship and seek to partner with the intercessors, the best place to start is to become faithful in House of Prayer attendance.

Prophetic Ministry
“Surely the Lord God does nothing,
unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.”
Amos 3:7
“…the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
Revelation 19:10
Very early on in Pastor Rick’s walk with the Lord, he began to move in the gifts of Words of Knowledge and Prophecy. Many in the body of Christ today use the prophetic ministry as a tool to draw men to themselves instead of Jesus. Pastor Rick has been very outspoken against this practice. Instead, he promotes hiddenness, where prophets are hidden in the Lord in intimacy. This is where you hear the true prophetic word and remain humble when the awesome gift of prophecy begins to draw attention to you.
Through this humble heart of prophetic ministry, we have trained and developed a prophetic community of believers who can effectively hear God’s voice and speak it in love and boldness. Because the prophets are subject unto other prophets, and every prophetic word must be judged, it is very important to be plugged in to discipleship and the House of Prayer so that you can operate in the prophetic gifting in a healthy way. We want to maintain a safe environment where there is prophetic accountability, coupled with the freedom to flow in the prophetic on a regular basis.

Preparing ETMs:
End Time Messengers
(Forerunners)
“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
Revelation 1:3
In the early years of their walk with God, the Lord began to first speak to Pastor Martha Ogles about the End Times that are spoken of in the books of Revelation, Daniel, Isaiah, and many others. The Lord would not allow her to study other people’s works, and He took her on an adventure in His Word to search the matter out for herself. Over the years, Rick and Martha have developed a passion for all things End-Times, and have hosted many training conferences and classes on the subject.
At TOBCF, our heart is to prepare and equip Forerunners as ETM’s; End-Time Messengers. In this day and hour, we need to know exactly what season we are in and how to prepare ourselves and others around us to endure the storm that is on the horizon. In 2006, the Lord spoke to Rick, saying, “You will find Me in Noah.” After much searching, it was revealed that the Lord wishes for us to build a spiritual ark that we would weather the inevitable storm at the end of this age. The question will be, “Are we building an ARK upon the Sermon-On-The-Mount lifestyle?”
Living a Sermon-On-The-Mount lifestyle fuels and prepares us to endure whatever may come our way. There is a storm on the horizon like no other in history. For this reason, you and I must develop a vision for the future to make ourselves ready for the Bridegroom God, Jesus Christ. The Book of Daniel & the Book of Revelation give us a snapshot of what the Last-Days may look like. Along with other End-Time chapters, we can build upon the vision concerning the End of this Age.

Evangelism Ministry
“15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Romans 10:15
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15
Anyone who has spent any quality time with our pastor knows that he evangelizes everywhere he goes; in the grocery store, at the gas station, and in the fast-food drive through. We desire to see every believer equipped and sent out to release the power of God to set the captives free. We take authority everywhere our feet tread, and we want to claim our city, our country, and even the nations for His glory! Every time we have been consistent in Evangelism in our city, we have seen amazing provision, church growth, and an increase in anointing, signs and wonders.
We have weekly evangelism opportunities, which include but are not limited to:
-
Praying for the sick at hospitals and their homes
-
Visiting the elderly and disabled at nursing homes
-
Visiting the marketplace such as Walmart, H-E-B, etc.
-
Going door-to-door to share the gospel and pray for people

Children and Youth Ministries
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them;
for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14
Many churches treat the children and youth as though they are not capable of deep spiritual things. At TOBCF, we seek to equip and train the children and youth in everything the adults do. They are fully capable of laying hands of the sick, evangelizing to their friends and family, hearing God’s voice, flowing in the prophetic, and having an intimate relationship with Jesus through prayer and reading the Word. Our vision for the children and youth is to raise up the next generation of believers that will release the power of God to impact lives and prepare the earth for the return of Jesus! This is the generation of Jacob; those who seek His face!

Compassion Ministries
Clothing and Food Pantry, FJS, Prison Ministry
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”
Matthew 25:37-40
Many churches have food and clothing ministries that help dozens of families every week. There are many in our congregation that buy food and clothing for those in need on a regular basis, and we have a very small food pantry at the church. We pray that the Lord will bless us with a building big enough to store food and clothing, and send us a person who would want to lead that ministry. A food and clothing pantry is an opening to make connections to families in the community and share the love of God with them through works of compassion.
There are other compassion ministries at TOBCF including prison ministry, motorcycle ministry, and women’s ministry. There are some in our congregation that go to the prisons almost every week to minster to the incarcerated. Another compassion ministry at TOBCF is called For Jonathan’s Sake. To understand how this ministry was formed we must visit some personal history of our pastors.
In 1987, Rick and Martha had twin sons that are blind, disabled, and Autistic. They struggled to find a church that would accept their boys, and their sometimes disruptive behaviors and outbursts. They felt rejected by local churches for many years. Because they have been through this trial, their desire is to see families with Special Needs be accepted, loved, and ministered to in a deep and meaningful way. We also do fundraising to provide Christmas and Birthday gifts to disabled people in group homes. It is our desire to expand this ministry as the Lord leads.
The Invitation
We invite you and your family to partner with us in the Vision of the House for TOBCF. Pray about how you and your ministry fit into this vision, and how you can partner with us to tear down the kingdom of darkness and Build up the Kingdom of God! Ultimately, our goal is to be fully functioning in every area of the vision through healthy relationships with God and with others. Where there is unity, there is power!
